Individualised person-centered services

Individual Support
Every person's idea of a great life is different. Family Support WA works with you to design support that helps you live a fulfilling life and achieve goals that are important to you. We will start by getting to know you, exploring where you want to go and what we can do together to get you there. From cooking skills, to new hobbies or becoming more involved in the community, we support you to try new things. We recruit people with both skills and experience in individual support and in the specific interests you have.

Connect Work Alternatives
Connect is a tailored and inclusive program that develops life skills and promotes engagement in recreational activities. With input from the family, our team finds the right support person to work through the goals, skills and needs of the individual. With options such as voluntary work, learning the skills to live independently and recreational programs, our team come open minded to develop an individual engagement plan.

Taking a Break
Regular breaks are a great way to refresh, reduce stress and help you maintain a positive home environment. As your trusted family partners, we are able to work with you in optimizing your funding to allow for regular breaks and in home respite. This support may look like a break within the family home through a support person coming in to share the workload, or the opportunity for an out of home stay.

Workshops and Group Activities
Family Support WA is proud to offer a number of workshops and group activities. Including the following: "Feel Safe" a series of workshops looking at home safety. "People Wise" a program developing your social skills. "Sklubb" an inclusive youth club. "Cooking up a storm", "School holiday program" and "Art official" an inclusive art program.
