Enriching our community
Enriching the lives of people with special needs, their families and carers by providing individualised person-centred services.
In the mid-1990s, the parents of children attending the Landsdale Farm School started running Camps for their children at the Farm School’s cottages. In 1996, the popularity of the Camps with children from all over Perth and the potential for attracting some Government funding, led the parents to form the Landsdale Family Support Association Inc.
Over the next 10 years, LFSA, as it came to be known, expanded services to include accommodation, respite, host families and in-home support for children with disabilities and their families.
In 2008, the LFSA resolved to also provide services to adults with disabilities and began providing Post-School Options/Alternative to Employment services.
In 2009, LFSA became Family Support WA Inc., reflecting our mission to support individuals with disabilities throughout Western Australia.
Since then, Family Support WA has focussed on providing individualised, person-centred services to individuals with disabilities and their families.
